  1. I am Francis Xavier McGillivary, born Glace Bay, NS 26 Oct 1936 , RCAF 1955-1991. Major Ret’d

    Served with “flying John MacGillivray – Rev Father John MacG – who retired from RCAF in Ottawa. Father John introduced me to the MacGillivray Clan Association.but I was not an active member, While stationed at Radar Station Sioux Lookout, NW Ont as Chief Admin Officer 1968-1971, I talked to George B MacGillivray of Fort William (William MacGillivray, North West Company) now Thunder Bay, ON I have a copy of George’s History of the Clan MacGillivray, co-authored by a Scot.
    I published 150 copies of “Donald the Soldier McGillivray in Sydney, NS. Donald McG served the whole of the American War with the 42nd Royal Highland Regt, arrived in Halifax, NS in the fall of 1783, married Christian Fraser in Halifax in December 1784 then went to Sydney with Gov DesBarres. And here I am 5 generations later FX McGillivary, Ottawa, ON 613- 821 – 4706
